Who is the ISTJ?
ISTJ is an abbreviation used to refer to one of 16 personality types. It belongs to The Protectors group, which shares the traits SJ. The letters refer to four basic preferences that belong to this profile: Introversion, Sensing, Thinking, Judging. The personality types theory was conceived by the Swiss psychiatrist Carl Gustav Jung at the beginning of the 20th century. From his work, Katharine Cook Briggs and his daughter Isabel Briggs Myers developed the personality types indicators which have inspired our work.

The first preference is Introversion (I)
The ISTJ, as an Introvert, is reserved and reflective. He loves taking some time for himself and being alone. Indeed, he prefers to recharge by quiet time alone or with people close to him. This is not to say he doesn’t enjoy the company of others, although he may find it psychologically draining at times.
The second preference is Sensing (S)
The ISTJ, as a Sensing type, is focused on what is happening in the present and he is not interested in thinking about the future. The sensor is a very down-to-earth person and gets his information through his five senses. Therefore, he relies upon facts and data that can be verified or actions that worked well in the past. Thanks to his good memory, he remembers all the facts and details.
The third preference is Thinking (T)
The ISTJ, as a Thinker, is objective and rational. He makes decisions based on facts and he is ruled by his head instead of his heart. The thinking type is critical and outspoken. Indeed, he says whatever pops into his mind but he doesn’t think about the emotional reaction of the person he’s talking to.
The fourth preference is Judging (J)
The ISTJ, as a Judger, wants to be in full control of his life. He seeks structure and a set schedule. Indeed, the judging type likes to be organized and follow rules and expectations. He also likes to have one task at a time with a deadline to meet. Indeed, he focuses on his goal until he reaches it.
